Crystal Palace Women were comprehensively beaten 7-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the Women's Super League on Sunday. The heavy defeat at home leaves the side eighth in the table with four points from their opening three matches.

Tottenham took full control after a chaotic start. Crystal Palace's Fuka Tsunoda was sent off for a serious foul in just the seventh minute, following an earlier yellow card for Jess Potter. Playing with ten players for over 80 minutes proved an impossible task.

O. Holdt scored a hat-trick for the visitors, netting in the 49th, 61st, and 73rd minutes. Victoria Pelova added two late goals, scoring in the 76th and 90th minutes. Substitutes S. Martinez and A. Nilden also found the net in the 79th and 86th minutes respectively to complete the rout.

The result is a significant blow to Crystal Palace's early-season form, which had seen them draw with Arsenal and beat Everton. They now have a goal difference of minus six, having conceded seven while scoring just one so far this campaign.

Attention now turns to a key away fixture against Birmingham City Women next Sunday. Birmingham currently sit bottom of the WSL, providing an immediate opportunity for Crystal Palace to respond.
